Proofs

Proofs are visual previews of each personalized item rendered with your template. They show exactly what the final output will look like — helping you and your customer verify everything before production.

Generating proofs

On the job detail page, click Generate Proofs. CraftStage renders each item against the selected template and generates a proof image. You'll see a progress indicator showing how many proofs have been generated ("Generating proof 12 of 50...").

Proofs appear progressively — you don't have to wait for all of them to finish before reviewing. On a typical job of 50 items, proof generation takes about 30 seconds.

Reviewing proofs

Proofs are displayed in a gallery view. Each proof shows:

• The rendered item with all text fields applied to the template
• A status indicator (pending, generated, approved, needs revision)
• The item's field values for reference

Click any proof to see it at full size. If something looks wrong, you can edit the item directly and regenerate just that proof.

Selective regeneration

You don't need to regenerate all proofs when you fix a single item. After editing an item, you can regenerate the proof for just that item. This is much faster than regenerating the entire batch.

Bulk regeneration is also available — select multiple items and click Regenerate to refresh their proofs.

Proof status

Each proof has a status that tracks its position in the approval workflow:
